Last Day

Here I am at my desk for my last day at the library.  I have some bittersweet feelings about today.  Working in a library has been a dream job, although a public library setting comes with challenges.  An academic library would probably have been a better choice, but those jobs are scarce.  I feel glad about leaving, since it will give me the time to pursue some other interests that I've put off for many years.  I'm sorry to leave my coworkers, because they are such a happy bunch and always make me smile.  All in all I feel good about leaving, and I'm sure I'll feel fine tomorrow.  My farewell party is this evening after we close, and I'm thinking that it will be somewhat difficult, but I'm ready to go.
