Aug. 3rd, 2009 07:39 pmI survived my birthday weekend, even though I lost my wallet. However, it was found by a Cleveland City Councilwoman. Unfortunately, by the time I found out I had already canceled my credit cards. Oh well. Now I'm waiting to hear from her so that I can make arrangements to go pick it up. I would like my driver's license back.
The Frivolity at the Rock Hall of Fame was great and very well attended. Hopefully that will impress the site inspection committee for the Gay Games. We sang two numbers from our Totally Awesome 80s show, and the Coastliners sang a selection from Jersey Boys. the highlight of the evening for me was that I finally got Roger to attend an event with me. I think he actually had a good time, but as usual, he was worried about leaving the pups alone. So I didn't get a really good look at the hall. I'll have to go back later by myself or with someone who's interested in music.
Sunday we went to Dave's for a cookout, but we ended up having pizza, which was fine. Stayed a few hours there, and had a good time with the grandkids. We watched Watchman. A long movie, but very entertaining. I've got to go back and read the graphic novel now.
Back at work today. The layoffs have begun. The administration appears to be keeping everything very hush-hush, but the rumors are circulating. I'm pretty sure I'm safe, but I'm not sure how the bum ping will work. It could be a very tense time here for the next few months.
