The whirlwind is over. We are back from Jamestown legally married! With retirement only two weeks ago and a wedding, I am trying hard to decompress. We had 17 family members on the bus/limo and a few more who met us there. My eldest son was my best man and Roger's best friend was his. All of our family was there to support us. The ceremony was very simple, but met our needs completely. The park setting was gorgeous as was the weather. It was as good as we could have imagined. Everything went perfectly and we were back home by 10 PM. We are old-lol.
Almost there
Aug. 26th, 2013 07:21 pmToday begins my last week at the library. The last 17 years seem to have flown by. I'll be glad to not work anymore, but I still feel kind of sad to be leaving. On a more down notem, Kaiser rejected Roger when he appled to them for an individual policy since Ohio won't let me carry him on mine when I retire even thought he's been on my group plan for years. I'm not sure what kind of options we have, but I believe that he'll qualify for COBRA which is outrageously expensive. Hopefull, when the exchanges kick in in October, we'll be able to find something better and cheaper.
All the wedding plans seem to be solidified. Everything has been reserved, ordered, and paid for. All we have to do is get on the bus (I hope). September could be a good month.
