Lull before the storm

Very quiet here today.  I hear that at Headquarters, people are very subdued and gathering in odd corners to whisper together.  We won't know for another couple weeks how many are going to retire.  The incentive to retire early was laughable.  I'm surprised anyone would accept it.  The incentive was that a potential retiree would get paid for up to 800 hours of sick time instead of the usual 400.  I wonder how many long time employees had enough sick time to make that a viable retirement incentive.
