Job?

I got offered a job today while I was here at the library.   The library has contracted with an outside company to provide computer training to customers, mostly senior citizens.  As librarians, we also offer one on one training in the library with individual customers.  Today when I was setting up for the class,  I was talking with Bill, who's the president of the company.  We were commiserating as to the library's failure to adhere to their own policies regarding class registration and the like.  I may have mentioned that I wish I could retire and move on to something else, and he said if I was interested in teaching computer classes, I should give him a call and we could talk.  As we discussed it a little more,  it seemed like a good opportunity for me.  I could work in some class sessions on my days off, while still employed, and see if I really like teaching seniors.  The class is very slow paced, and I'm sure I could do it while I was sleeping.  I've been teaching and working with seniors for many years now both in the library and outreach at the various assisted living and nursing homes in the area.  I'm not sure of the remuneration aspects of it though.  I would guess that I would be working as a subcontractor rather than as an employee, which is fine with me.  Roger didn't seem to thrilled when I told him, but we'll discuss it more this weekend.  I'll give Bill a call next week and set up a meeting.
