Roger

Yesterday was Roger's 60th birthday.  I took off the whole weekend so that we could spend it together.  We didn't end up doing much, other than going out to eat and going to a movie yesterday.   I did manage to get the fishpond pump turned on and sprayed all the weeds in the garden.  It's been too rainy and cold to do that earlier.  After the movie we went to Verizon to get him a new phone.  He ended up getting a smartphone, which he doesn't really know how to use, so we had to get a data plan as well as a calling plan.  We managed to get a family plan on my account since I get a 15% discount, because the library is part of the county government.  Other than that, I baked him a cake, and showed him how to do some things on his new toy.  It seems like he's getting to live the life I want.  I feel like Josh on the "Fabulous Beekman Boys."
